                Efficient  Replacement Windows

Not only do these enhance the beauty of your home, they also offer energy savings and luxurious comfort.

Before considering the implementation of a renewable energy system, for a home, it is wise to first evaluate the energy efficiency of that home. The three most important aspects that dictate the level of comfort and energy efficiency are the attic, windows and walls. For most homes, built prior to 1990 the most cost effective energy improvement is additional attic insulation, followed by energy efficient replacement windows. If your  home was built prior to 1975, you may need retrofit wall insulation too.

If you have wood frames, aluminum crank outs, or windows that just won't open and close, you are in an older home that is in serious need of windows. You are spending a fortune to heat and cool a house that likely is not ever really comfortable.

Even  If you live in a new home, odds are the budget minded contractor that selected your windows was not very interested in reducing your utility bill. Also with that usually comes fast and sloppy side packing covered with plastic lick and stick molding. You may have noticed with that stock double pane glass, the winter chill oozes out on both sides of the frame, chilling the inner side of the glass. And worse yet, in the summer, it allows most all of the suns radiation right through the glass. If the power of the sun can radiate all the way to the Earth through the vacuum of space, that quarter inch of vacuum in your double pane is not going to help you.

If you already have double pane windows, look closely between the double glass panels, usually on the bottom right side. If you see a faint print that says " low E", then you have windows that seriously save you money AND keep your home comfortable.

Low E windows have special frames, argon gas barriers and high tech glazing that are designed to meet the strict standards of government green guidelines.  ACS custom mills all their wood trim and like all our products, they look beautiful, open and close easily, cut drafts, and deaden street noise.  In fact, they meet California's stringent intruder-resistance laws, with locks and night latches far superior to old-fashioned windows.

Best of all, our windows are covered by a Lifetime Guarantee. Choose from clear, white or bronze finish on your window frames. They'll never warp, rot, or peel. Our replacement windows are designed so that every window in your house could be replaced in a single day, even in stucco homes. This is also a great time to replace old sliding doors! Thanks to our exclusive roller system, our doors move smoothly for years.

ACS offers, at no obligation, a home weatherization inspection. An ACS representative will evaluate your homes insulation R-values, measure for energy efficient replacement windows, and provide written cost estimates. ACS will also provide information about any cash incentives, rebates or low cost financing programs that are available to you from the government and/or your gas and electric utilities.
